Servings: 8 cups
- 2 ½ cups corn Chex
- 2 ½ cups wheat Chex
- 2 cups mini pretzels
- ½ cup Goldfish (or other cheese crackers)
- ½ cup raw almonds (double down on Goldfish if nut allergies are a thing for you)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (or Earth Balance for my vegan peeps)
- 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce (again, could easily veganize)
- 1 to 2 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp chile-garlic sauce (optional but GREAT)
- 1 tbsp seasoned salt
- 1 tsp granulated garlic
- ½ tsp granulated onion
- dashes of black pepper, chile powder & cayenne
In a LARGE mixing bowl, combine the Chex, mini pretzels, Goldfish & almonds. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil & pre-heat the oven to 250°F.
Melt the butter in a saucepan on the stovetop (or in the microwave) & stir in all of the sauces/spices.
Pour the now-seasoned butter over the dry ingredients & *gently* stir until everything is coated.
Pour the coated mix onto the baking sheet & spread out to get as thin of a layer as possible.
Bake for 1 hour & 15 minutes, stirring the mix around every 15 minutes.
Remove the Chex Mix from the oven & let cool for about 15 additional minutes.
